5 things you can do to improve her experience at the cash register – plus a couple more
Just came across this post by Michelle Miller about ways that stores can improve a woman’s experience at the checkout.
Great post, worth a read, but I thought I would throw a couple more in there for the mums.
Acknowledge (and gush a bit) over her children Nothing makes a mum feel prouder or more important than the simple act of having someone say how beautiful her children are.
Talk to her children Interacting with the children usually makes life easier for mums while they are fumbling for their money, packing bags, etc. It also has the same effect as acknowledging her children.
Be as quick as you can and avoid delays Mums are usually in a rush, or have impatient children. If you have to get a price check or deal with some other kind of delay, look for the quickest way to deal with it.
Empathise with her If you ask how her day is and she sighs, empathise with her. Being a mum is the toughest job on earth.
